Team Pink are the team of the Executive Officers and Assistants who are responsible for the running and development of the National Student Scout and Guide Organisation.

Lara Hagger

Hi SSAGO! I'm Lara, your Treasurer for 2025-2026!

I started Brownies when I was 7 and haven't left Girlguiding - I'm currently a leader at Brownies and Rangers, as well as a Peer Educator and general floating adult who can help at meetings when needed. I joined SAGGY in my first year and have had the best time, especially going to various rallies and balls and organising freshers' weekends. I’ve made fantastic friends through SSAGO and learnt so much from them all, and I hope that I can pass this on to future SSAGOers as your National Treasurer!

Come and say hi if you see me at a national event (and tell me and Money Bunny your favourite coin!).

Treasurer

February 2026

Report

  • Development Fund: approved dev fund bids for various clubs and made sure they were tracked on the spreadsheet so all of Team Pink can be kept up to date with the process.
  • Events: answered questions and offered advice to various events happening across SSAGO, supported Midlands Freshers Camp with finances, and am looking forward to spending a weekend in Portsmouth!
  • General organising: as part of sorting things for doing the annual accounts, I have been going through the google drive and making sure that everything money-related is clearly named and filed in a sensible location to make searching for invoices/receipts much easier.
  • Money Bunny: our beloved Treasurer’s mascot has recently gone through surgery so that her ears and tail could be reattached, and to provide an internal pouch in which her coins can safely sit.

Aims

  • Annual Accounts: my goal is to have the accounts from April 2024 to November 2025 done and reviewed by Port-A-Rally (there is a huge number of transactions to sort through, plus the spreadsheet doesn’t like 2024-2 being a financial year, so I won’t promise anything - I am working with Alex to get it done ASAP though!).
  • Documents of Advice: whether I am re-elected as SSAGO Treasurer or not, I want to provide a document that can be sent to national event treasurers with the advice, ideas, and general reassurance I have gathered over this past year.

October 2025

Report

  • Freshers' events: It's been exciting to see/hear about all the events happening with new members, and I've been busy providing advice plus the use of our SSAGO event bank accounts.
  • Insurance: SSAGO are now insured for another year, and I am in the process of sorting the events insurance for our national events.
  • National budget: I have been updating the national budget for 2025-2026 which should be finalised soon!
  • General treasuring: SSAGO still has money! Also Money Bunny should have her SSAGO necker by Space Rally...

Aims

  • Development fund: start promoting the dev fund to clubs as it's there to be used by our SSAGO members!
  • Club treasurers: I want to start sending monthly 'Treasurer Times' emails to committees with the intent to make being a club treasurer something fun and easy to do.
  • Bank accounts: hopefully we can get Lloyds to update the account named 'Whitan' to 'Witan' without too much fuss.

June 2025

Report

  • Money: SSAGO still has money!
  • Document sorting: I've been attempting to find where everything I need as treasurer is in the exec google drive, and organising it so that everything makes sense in my head.

Aims

  • Development fund: over the summer, I want to sort out a spreadsheet to track the status of dev fund bids.
  • Projects: arrange more regular meetings with the projects I am the team pink lead for.
  • Club treasurers: now that new committees have been formed, I want to connect club treasurers with each other.

March 2025

Report

  • Getting started: attending meetings and getting used to the way everything works in Team Pink, with the aim to be ready to begin my role fully after Goose Ball!

Aims

  • Money is fun: I will be a visible presence for all things accounting! Treasurer is usually the role that committees struggle to fill so I want to help everyone be confident with money and show people that it’s a fun position :)
  • Power of the group chat: putting treasurers in touch with each other to share woes, frustrations, anger at banking, whatever - and I will do my best to help!
  • Development fund: remind club treasurers that they can apply for monetary help if needed, and support them to do so.
